Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cardiac Sonographer Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 12/02/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with at least 1 year of adult echocardiography experience, BLS, and ARDMS or CCI RCS certification for an acute care hospital assignment. Responsibilities Work in an acute care hospital setting with a focus on adult cardiac patients Day shifts (5x8 hours) with start times between 7:00 AM and 10:30 AM as needed On-call requirement includes 1 shift per week (6:30 PM–7:00 AM) and weekends (4:30 PM–8:00 AM) May be required to float to other hospital locations within the state, including affiliated sites Utilizes Epic EMR; experience with Epic is required Block scheduling is not available Must be willing to float to other facilities within the state as needed Returning staff must have a 3-month separation before returning as a traveler and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility Requested time off must be included at time of consideration; approval depends on amount and timing Travelers must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Scrub color is Royal Blue for main unit; OR scrubs are provided as needed Free parking is available Two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years are required for consideration All required onboarding modules must be completed prior to start, averaging 16 hours Requirements Minimum of 1 year paid adult echocardiography experience BLS certification required ARDMS or CCI RCS certification required CA state license must be in hand at time of consideration; no temporary licenses accepted (license required if applicable) Epic charting experience required First-time travelers are not accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628205.
