Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 12/01/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Title: X-Ray Technologist – Radiology / Cardiology Location: Charleston, SC 29425 Shift: Night, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Friday–Sunday, holidays as needed) Start Date: 12/01/2025 Duration: 13 weeks Position Overview: MUSC Health Charleston is seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist for a travel assignment. The clinician will perform diagnostic radiology procedures for adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations, including bedside/portable imaging and specialized X-ray procedures. The role requires flexibility to float within scope to meet facility needs and participate in on-call rotation as assigned. Key Responsibilities: Perform a variety of radiographic procedures including chest, abdomen, spine, pelvis, extremities, head, and mobile/surgical imaging. Ensure accurate and timely patient imaging in compliance with facility protocols. Utilize PACS and charting systems (Epic) for documentation. Follow isolation precautions and safety protocols, including proper radiation safety with provided radiation badge. Participate in orientation during the first week (day shift) before transitioning to regular night schedule. Float to other buildings on the same campus as needed. Respond to call assignments, including holidays, per facility guidelines. Required Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of X-Ray Technologist experience . Certification: ARRT (R) and BLS . Radiation badge provided by agency is required (MUSC does not provide). Ability to perform O/C-Arm procedures. Willingness to float and participate in call rotation. Must comply with local radius rule (60 miles). Preferred: Travel experience Teaching or community hospital experience Trauma Level II experience Work Environment: Adult acute care, outpatient, and bedside/portable imaging. Exposure to multiple patient age groups and varying clinical cases. Teaching hospital environment with Level 1 Trauma designation.
