Job Overview The Senior Director Channel Commercialization will lead the development of the channel commercialization strategy and channel-specific commercial plans; work closely with all parent company personnel to understand their objectives and strategies; work to develop mutually beneficial commercial plans that drive both CCCI and parent company results. Then develop and align to channel-specific commercial strategies; also lead channel commercialization teams in the development and communication of the general market and customer-specific initiatives, centered around sustaining the Look of Success, New Product Innovation, and Thematic Retail Promotion programs. Additionally, the Senior Director will collaborate with Senior Director and Vice President counterparts across field sales, customer, product supply, and RGM to ensure these initiatives will deliver the objectives and strategies defined in the annual commercial plan. Then develop and align to channel-specific commercial strategies; also lead channel commercialization teams in the development and communication of the general market and customer-specific initiatives, centered around sustaining the Look of Success, New Product Innovation, and Thematic Retail Promotion programs.
Duties & Responsibilities
Meet regularly with parent company personnel to review proposals for commercial plan elements, LOS, Innovation, Promotion; including individual sessions as well as bottler committee routines
Lead channel commercialization team in the development of channel-specific annual commercial strategies and commercial plans; including cross-collaboration with other marketing departments Senior Directors to ensure all resources are being utilized to drive success
Lead channel commercialization team in the development of channel-specific monthly commercial initiatives to drive the successful sell‑in of CCCI commercial plan and to meet and, or succeed in the business objectives
Collaborate across departments to drive the effectiveness of commercial strategies and plan throughout the entire organization with a heavy emphasis on Product Supply, RGM, Sales, and Service
Work closely with Customer Teams and Sales and Service out in the market to gain a strong understanding of commercial initiative effectiveness and to brainstorm commercial plan improvement opportunities
Direct, lead, and motivate a team to deliver results by communicating company goals and deadlines; engage and develop teammates through effective performance management, coaching and training; implement continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus, and embody company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to process thousands of various inputs, recommendations, and considerations into organized, simple, and executable strategies and initiatives
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with other Senior Leaders while developing and achieving measurable objectives that drive business results
Skill to first develop an overarching strategy for achieving measurable objectives, and then develop initiatives and tactics to support those strategies
Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead a team positively and impart influence are imperative
Experience in strategy development is imperative. Frontline sales and management experience in the beverage industry are preferred to understand the impact of decisions at the frontline level
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
7 years’ experience leading a team
7 years’ experience managing a P&L
7 years leading in CPG
Demonstrated ability to develop strategic initiatives and build plans for execution
Demonstrated ability to multitask, manage, and lead multiple projects
Demonstrated ability to communicate and work with senior executives
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in Marketing, Business or similar applicable field
Knowledge acquired through 7 or more years of work experience
Work Environment Office environment
