Primary Function The PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF) Specialist will support a higher education client in leading automated testing efforts within PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, specifically for Financial Aid (FA) and Student Records (SR) modules. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining PTF scripts, executing regression and performance testing, supporting CI/CD integration, and providing training to team members to enhance automation capabilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimize automated PTF scripts for key FA and SR business processes
Execute automated regression cycles after updates to validate system stability and accuracy
Build and execute LoadNinja scripts to assess system performance during peak load scenarios
Train QA and functional team members in PTF usage, script maintenance, and best practices for automation
Log, track, and verify defects using tools such as ServiceNow or HP ALM
Ensure PTF configurations, test data, and scripts are valid across all test environments
Integrate automated regression suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
Produce concise test execution summaries, performance results, and testing metrics for stakeholders
Work closely with functional, technical, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless test execution
Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience creating, executing, and maintaining PTF scripts using variables, reusable components, and batch automation
Strong understanding of Financial Aid and Student Records processes within Campus Solutions
3–5 years of experience in functional and regression testing of PeopleSoft applications
Proficiency in SQL, PeopleSoft Query, HP ALM, and familiarity with Phire or Change Assistant
Demonstrated ability to train and mentor other team members
Understanding of CI/CD workflows and integrating automated testing within deployment pipelines
MUST HAVE:
PeopleSoft Campus Solutions experience
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred
3–5 years of relevant experience in PeopleSoft testing and automation required
