Overview We are looking for an experienced IP Voice & Video Engineer to maintain and support a large, complex, highly resilient IP communications infrastructure at Scott Air Force Base, IL. The role involves managing voice, video, and data networks, configuring routing devices, performing fault analysis, and ensuring secure, high‑quality communications.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering tasks to maintain and support the IP voice and video communications infrastructure.

Configure, troubleshoot, and assure service for voice, video, and data network components.

Conduct system maintenance, capacity planning, and configuration change documentation.

Configure and implement calling search spaces, route plans, route partitions, lists, and device profiles.

Configure Cisco or Juniper routing and switching devices.

Support distributed firewall infrastructure.

Provide input in technical policy, work instructions, and reporting for the enterprise IP telephony network.

Analyze and resolve complex technical problems involving SIP signaling and call flows.

Analyze and resolve remote site registration, signaling, and media problems.

Validate change requests and ensure accuracy.

Perform fault analysis and configuration of voice subscribers, call handlers, and routing rules.

Perform fault analysis and configuration of routing and switching rules on Cisco and Juniper devices.

Skills & Expertise

VoIP, Unified Communications, SIP internetworking, and call flow.

Advanced fault analysis for routing, switching, security, and large‑scale voice implementations.

SIP, SRTP, G.711, G.729, DTMF, QoS classification, marking, and prioritization.

Knowledge of IPSec, MPLS VPN, BGP, and firewall configuration.

Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity, Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE), Avaya, Oracle SBC, and Voice Gateways.

Qualifications

BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 2‑4 years of IP communications experience or MS with less than 2 years.

Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain interim clearance).

DoD 8750 certification at IAT Level II and Security+ CE or equivalent.

Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Avaya, or Oracle voice platforms.

Experience troubleshooting distributed firewall infrastructure and IPSec implementations.

Experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting QoS for voice and critical applications.

Preferred: SRTP implementation, Cisco Unified, Avaya Aura soft switches, Oracle SBCs, BGP routing, IPSec MPLS VPN.

Security Clearance & Citizenship Active or interim DoD clearance required (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI). U.S. citizenship required.
