Purpose of Assignment

The UNICEF Country Office Development and Support (CODAS) section within the Private Fundraising and Partnerships Division (PFP) in Geneva is seeking a Digital Data Analytics Specialist to support fundraising in established and emerging markets across ESA, ECA, LAC, EAP, and WCA regions.

Scope of Work

Support markets with digital data integration and reporting by combining website, paid media, and transactional data through SQL-based tools and Google platforms.

Ensure accurate data collection and validation using GTM, GA4, and other digital tools.

Generate actionable insights and support the testing roadmap to optimise acquisition and retention.

Increase local capacity in GA4, CRO testing and data interpretation for optimisation.

Ensure alignment with global data governance and campaign tracking standards.

Customise and implement UNICEF’s global data products in ECA Cluster, WCA, ESA and LAC regions.

Enable advanced cloud-based automation and data transformation.

Combine data sources to support fundraising optimisation.

Deliverables

Global naming conventions and UTM taxonomy implementation for all digital campaigns.

Automated data integration pipelines (Data Form) for paid media, website and CRM data.

Dashboard solutions integrating GA4, CRM and paid media built and maintained using Looker Studio or similar.

Maintenance and updating of dashboards for all regions and markets, generation of insights and A/B test proposals.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Economics, Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics or equivalent; alternatively a first‑level degree plus 2 years relevant experience.

Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible digital / data analysis experience focused on performance.

Proven experience with GA4, GTM and Google Cloud Platform (particularly BigQuery).

Strong SQL skills for data integration across sources.

Hands‑on experience building dashboards in Looker Studio or similar.

Ability to identify and troubleshoot data collection and tracking issues.

Experience deriving actionable marketing insights and optimising acquisition and retention.

Essential Knowledge & Skills

Experience conducting CRO testing (A/B tests) including hypothesis building, execution and statistical analysis.

Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to explain complex data and tools to non‑technical audiences.

Familiarity with exporting data from ad platforms to Google Cloud for integration.

Knowledge of best practices for UTM tracking, naming conventions and digital governance frameworks.

Desired Experience

Experience with DataForm in BigQuery or other SQL‑based workflow automation tools.

Understanding of third‑party data limitations and first‑party data strategies such as server‑side tracking.

Experience with Salesforce and CRM data integration.

Language

Fluency in English (required).

Knowledge of another UN language is an advantage.
