Job Description The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for
Assistant Professor in Residence, School of Nursing .
Role of the Position This is a search for an Assistant Professor‑in‑Residence (Non‑Tenure‑Track) within the School of Nursing. Primary responsibilities of an appointment are to:
Teach nursing courses consistent with area of expertise.
Collaborate with other faculty in course development.
Use teaching resources, such as WebCampus/Canvas to foster learning.
Provide student supervision.
Participate in school, university, professional and community service activities.
Classes in the School of Nursing are offered year‑round, using a trimester sequence.
Department/College Profile The School of Nursing at UNLV offers CCNE‑accredited programs leading to a BSN, MS (nurse practitioner and nurse educator tracks), DNP and PhD (Educator and Interprofessional Health concentrations and DNP to PhD). For more information, visit

Minimum Qualifications This position requires a
Doctorate in Nursing or a related field
from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and an
encumbered Nevada Registered Nurse License or ability to obtain prior to employment . Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
