Position Overview The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities within the organization. This role ensures accuracy and integrity in financial reporting, assists in month-end and year-end closings, and supports consolidation and intercompany processes. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and experience in a multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities General Accounting & Reporting
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements for multiple entities.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in accordance with GAAP.
Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure proper classification of transactions.
Prepare consolidated financial reports across multiple entities.
Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and external regulations.
Intercompany Accounting
Record and reconcile intercompany transactions, billings, and eliminations.
Monitor intercompany balances to ensure timely settlement.
Assist in developing streamlined processes for intercompany accounting and consolidation.
Financial Analysis & Support
Analyze financial results and variances; provide insights to management.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
Support external audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting.
Process Improvement & Systems
Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
Support automation and system enhancements (e.g., ERP or accounting software).
Ensure consistency in accounting practices across entities.
Work closely with finance, operations, and management teams across entities.
Mentor junior accountants and provide training on accounting policies and systems.
Qualifications Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a multi-entity or consolidation role.
Strong understanding of GAAP
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Effective communication and collaboration across departments
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
