Annual Bonus Direct message the job poster from Zuma Restaurants The Senior Financial Planning Analyst plays a critical role in driving the company’s financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting processes. This position collaborates across departments—including Front of House, Operation, and back of house team—and partners closely with the Head of finance to maintain accuracy and consistency in financial data and reporting. The Analyst will focus on detailed item-level margin analysis, SG&A expense monitoring, KPI tracking, budget-to-actual reporting, and scenario planning Zuma is a contemporary Japanese restaurant collection, inspired by the dynamic Izakaya dining style. Your key responsibilities will include: Partner with the Head of Finance to manage the annual budgeting process, including developing detailed departmental budgets across Operations, Front of House, and HR Prepare monthly budget-to-actual (BvA) reports with variance analysis and collaborate with department leaders to identify key drivers and validate accruals Develop and maintain dynamic forecasting and sensitivity models to evaluate financial impacts of pricing, volume, and operational changes Build financial models and scenario analyses for new restaurant openings, menu changes, and capital projects Conduct item-level margin and category profitability analysis to support menu engineering, pricing, and product mix optimization Monitor and analyze SG&A expenses, identifying cost efficiencies and providing actionable recommendations to improve margins Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales trends, contribution margins, SG&A ratio, and working capital efficiency Prepare monthly management reporting packages including P&L statements, cash flow, and KPI dashboards, accompanied by variance commentary and insights Collaborate with the Senior Accountant to ensure timely and accurate monthly closes, proper accruals, and alignment between management and GAAP reporting Assist with reconciliations, financial tie-outs, and data integrity between ERP systems and FP&A models Support process improvements and the development of automated BI dashboards and reporting tools Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for senior leadership, board reviews, and external stakeholders Participate in ad hoc analyses, financial projects, and initiatives as assigned by the Head of Finance Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested What We Look For
