We’re seeking an Associate Director of Product Management to establish and lead our product management function and define specifications for our first products. This leader will drive cross‑functional initiatives to enhance product performance, differentiation, and quality, ensuring overall portfolio success.

The role involves developing target product profiles for new applications, assessing competitive offerings, collaborating with R&D, Clinical, and Commercial teams, and translating customer insights into actionable product requirements. The candidate will shape global product strategies, guide new product introductions, and support market expansion.

The ideal candidate is a strategic communicator and collaborative leader with strong market understanding, intellectual curiosity, and the agility to master new technologies quickly.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of a multigenerational product portfolio strategy in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Drive new product development and launch initiatives, ensuring alignment with business and commercialization objectives.

Manage the full product lifecycle, including planning, quality, and performance to maintain strong market positioning.

Develop business cases and partnership opportunities to expand the portfolio and deliver financial growth.

Gather and analyze voice of customer, competitive intelligence, and market trends to inform strategy and product roadmaps.

Ensure products meet evolving customer and market needs through continuous improvement and lifecycle optimization.

Oversee pricing strategy and lead price and margin improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Clinical, and Commercial teams to deliver differentiated, high‑performing products.

Perform business and financial analyses to support strategic planning and decision‑making.

Build and refine product management processes and best practices to strengthen organizational capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, engineering, or related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred.

7+ years of product management experience in the diagnostics, life sciences, or related technology sector.

Demonstrated success managing complex product portfolios through full lifecycle — from concept to commercialization.

Proven ability to lead global product initiatives through structured, stage‑gated processes.

Strong analytical and financial acumen, with experience developing business cases and evaluating portfolio performance.

Skilled in cross‑functional leadership, driving collaboration across R&D, operations, commercial, and clinical teams.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.

Results‑oriented, proactive problem‑solver with strategic thinking and executional rigor.

Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Compensation Range: $200K - $225K
