Job Description We are seeking a dynamic

AVP, Marketing

to spearhead the development of the consumer and customer marketing strategy for FIJI Water. This role is responsible for the brand marketing and trade marketing strategy, execution, reporting and KPI measurement for FIJI with the goal of increasing brand value, market share, and sales.

The AVP, Marketing will bring a deep understanding of marketing strategy, consumer and customer insights, social media, and public relations. This role also requires expertise in competitive landscape analysis, manufacturing partnerships, sourcing, point-of-sale development, and ROI evaluation. Success in this position demands strong initiative, leadership, project management, organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail. The AVP will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Trade Marketing, PR & Events, Consumer Insights, Logistics, Finance, eCommerce, and the internal creative agency, while also managing relationships with multiple external partners and vendors.

This position will be based at our West Los Angeles, CA office. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday‑Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.

Lead the effort to drive brand awareness, customer demand, and brand preference for FIJI Water by leading the overall brand and trade marketing strategies

Engage customers through the conception and implementation of marketing campaigns, promotions and trade marketing programs (including Retail and On Premise activations), merchandising services, sponsorships, and market research

Build strong relationships with the Retail and On Premise sales teams and participate actively in customer facing activities and meetings

Develop, maintain and consistently communicate compelling brand positions and USPs

Demonstrate discipline in providing creative direction and ensure creative and programming alignment with brands’ target audiences and opportunities

Utilize category and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and new product development to successfully bring new profitable branded products to market

Timely and efficiently communicate the marketing programs to the sales teams and other departments

Oversee the PR & Events strategy to ensure brand consistency

Prepare and monitor annual budget for the brand marketing department

Run the annual brand planning process. Set brand planning calendar, coordinate cross-functional activities and planning processes, manage timelines, and ensure timely completion of all deliverables

Work closely with the Direct-to-Consumer team to ensure strategies and creative align with brand standards and share a cohesive brand voice to all other marketing strategies and communications

Own the relationship with the in-house creative agency’s activities/projects, providing direction for all necessary marketing/creative material produced internally or externally. Ensure consistent creative execution and positioning and development of integrated campaigns

Manage a team of 3 direct reports with a total team of 9; ensure career development goals are met for each direct report

Qualifications

MBA plus 10 years in senior level brand management role or consumer marketing within CPG; food or beverage experience a plus

Solid understanding of the following areas: media advertising, digital marketing, consumer promotions, POS marketing, PR, sales promotions, and trade marketing

Strong cross-functional project management skills, including leading new product development/innovation efforts

Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills

Strong analytical skills/attention to detail required

Exceptional sense of urgency, with strong aptitude for learning and problem-solving

Advanced Excel and MS PowerPoint skills required

Pay Range: $210,000 – $240,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
