Azure Architect
for a contract job with a client in
Tampa, FL . The ideal candidate must have deep expertise in designing and implementing scalable data platforms using Databricks and related technologies.
Rate Range:
$55.61 to $60.61/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Azure Architect Job Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable data platforms and pipelines using Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow).
Lead migration from legacy platforms to Databricks Lakehouse architecture.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop modern data architectures aligned with business needs.
Establish data governance, quality, and security standards in partnership with InfoSec and Compliance teams.
Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and consumption processes.
Mentor data engineers and developers on Databricks best practices.
Integrate Databricks with enterprise tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Kafka, Snowflake, and others.
Work with cloud architects to ensure robust infrastructure setup on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering.
Proven expertise in Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP a plus).
Experience with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
Proficiency in integrating Databricks with BI tools and enterprise data platforms.

$55.61 to $60.61 per hour
