C-12/King Air Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P) FT. Knox, KY.
We are looking for a qualified Army C-12 / King Air Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P) to perform organizational and intermediate level maintenance on Army C-12 / King Air 200/350/1900 aircraft.
Responsibilities
A valid FAA A&P Certificate is required.
Perform maintenance tasks on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls, and airframe components.
Use hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.
Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751.
Operate computerized maintenance software.
Participate in aircraft recovery missions as necessary.
Conduct engine run or taxi operations; obtain certification within 12 months of employment.
Interpret manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair or replacement.
Perform all other assigned duties.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Valid FAA A&P Certificate.
US citizenship required for Secret Security Clearance and base access.
Two (2) years of A&P experience with at least two (2) years specific to C-12/King Air preferred; (5) years preferred; Ten (10) years required for higher levels.
Valid Driver’s License.
Physical ability to move freely within the aircraft interior and unpressurized aft area and meet weight limits.
Shift work: any shift; occasional rotating weekend.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.
Pass the AR-95-20 pre-employment medical, BMI
Strong communication skills in English.
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to handle stressful situations while maintaining a professional attitude.
Ability to stand, squat, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and work with arms overhead for extended periods.
