Responsibilities Carrier Management & Performance Own all carrier relationships, leading the sourcing, negotiation, and onboarding of new parcel carriers to consistently reduce client costs and scale the autonomous fulfillment network. Conduct continuous, external‑facing fulfillment operations analysis, focusing on service quality, SLA adherence, and driving significant improvements in carrier performance. Maintain and leverage sophisticated carrier reporting, monitoring KPIs to proactively diagnose and correct network performance gaps.
Customer & Program Onboarding Act as the Logistics Lead for all new client programs, guaranteeing carrier integration and routing logic are accurately configured before service launch. Provide mission‑critical transactional support for fulfillment, ensuring seamless, high‑volume package flow from the autonomous system to the final‑mile carrier drop‑off.
Cost Optimization & Shipping Strategy Own the client P&L impact of transportation: Execute deep cost analysis, benchmarking, and strategic initiatives to deliver a superior ROI to our customers. Design and implement scalable strategies that harmonize the output of robotic fulfillment with final‑mile logistics, including expert oversight of OMS capacity and volume forecasting. Translate complex data analytics into high‑impact, actionable strategies to continuously improve delivery speed and efficiency across the entire network.
Peak & Exception Planning Lead the network through peak season, coordinating capacity, surcharge reviews, and cutoffs across internal teams and external carriers to guarantee operational continuity during high‑velocity periods. Aggressively monitor and mitigate all exceptions, disruptions, and service failures, ensuring service stability.
Cross‑Border & International Logistics Manage all international logistics compliance, specializing in documentation, customs clearance, and trade regulations to ensure seamless global parcel flow. Develop and execute global forwarding strategies for clients, optimizing carrier selection and service tiers to balance transit time, cost, and tax/duty management. Establish compliance and efficient carrier setup to enable seamless global expansion for client programs.
Escalations & Claims Management Direct the claims process: Manage high‑volume customer claims and escalations (currently around 100 per week), maximizing financial recovery and minimizing client impact. Define and execute the communication and education strategy for all transportation rollouts, ensuring internal teams and client operations are immediately aligned and effective.
Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or e‑commerce fulfillment, with a focus on carrier operations or shipping programs. Bachelors or masters degree in business, finance, or a related field. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience using BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) to interpret transit, cost, or service data. Solid understanding of domestic and international carrier networks (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS) and shipping compliance standards. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize cross‑functional tasks, and communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Familiarity with shipping technologies, WMS/TMS systems is a plus.
Scale = $80,000 – $120,000 a year
