Donum Dei Classical Academy partners with classical and Christian schools across the nation to provide a classical Christian education. Our leaders employ an integrated curriculum and culture aimed at developing the whole child, inspiring a love for learning, and establishing a Christ-centered foundation. Overview
Founded in August 2019 in San Francisco, California, Donum Dei Classical Academy, meaning "Gift of God," strives to deliver a rich classical Christian curriculum rooted in Scriptural truth and life-giving experiences. Our mission is to nurture students' hearts, souls, minds, and bodies to foster knowledge, wisdom, good character, and Christ-like virtues that glorify God. Our leadership has established a strong spiritual and intellectual culture with dedicated teachers committed to shaping young minds and hearts.
School Hours
Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 3:15 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. | Extended Care until 5:30 p.m.
Role in the Team
Every team member is vital in cultivating a culture that reflects the image of God in our students and staff. Our faculty and staff are called to respond to God's calling with discipline, diligence, and dedication. The School Nurse plays a key role in ensuring students' health and safety, maintaining medical records, managing routine health checks, and collaborating with faculty, staff, and parents to support students' physical well-being and overall success.
Requirements & Preferred Qualifications
Agree with Donum Dei's Statement of Faith and serve as a minister of the Gospel.
Complete professional development and safety training as required.
Attend Morning Assembly (M/W/F at 8 a.m.) and Friday Staff Meetings (1:45-2:45 p.m.).
Participate in school activities such as Parent Orientation, Back to School Night, and other events.
Have a love for children and learning, and a commitment to cultivating that love in students.
Devote yourself wholeheartedly to the Lord and be in good standing with a Christian church.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
Professional experience in relevant fields.
Role & Responsibilities
Student Health & Wellness
Provide first aid and medical care for minor injuries and illnesses. Assess and respond to health concerns, referring to professionals as needed. Maintain accurate health records, including histories, allergies, and emergency contacts. Monitor students with chronic conditions and coordinate care with parents and teachers. Preventative Health & Compliance
Conduct lice checks and guide families on treatment and prevention. Ensure compliance with vaccination requirements and maintain immunization records. Educate on illness prevention, hygiene, and wellness. Medication Management & First Aid Readiness
Organize and maintain medication supplies. Administer medications following regulations and policies. Train staff on emergency procedures. Replenish first aid supplies regularly. Communication & Coordination
Serve as the main contact for health concerns between the school, parents, and healthcare providers. Communicate health-related information promptly. Work with administration to develop health protocols. Emergency Preparedness & Response
Assist in developing emergency medical plans. Respond to emergencies and coordinate with responders. Participate in safety drills, considering medical needs. Health Education & Outreach
Promote wellness initiatives and health education. Support students in developing healthy habits. Provide training or workshops on health topics. Schedule & Compensation Working Schedule
Part-time, approximately 5 hours per week, including school trimesters, in-service, and professional development days. Employment Type
Part Time Exempt - 5 hours/week PTO & Sick Pay
PTO based on the academic calendar. Sick pay: 72 hours annually, accrued at 1 hour per 30 hours worked. Compensation
Annual salary, paid bimonthly, with optional tuition credit. Salary range: $7,200 - $7,600 USD per year.
