Kratos is seeking a highly motivated candidate who will provide

model-based systems engineering

technical contribution and leadership. This position is full-time and requires the ability to successfully work in a team environment. The successful candidate must be able to develop and model requirements, create system design models and documentation, utilize, and maintain existing analytical models, develop new models, and lead the development of processes and training associated with MBSE. Excellent communications and interpersonal relationship skills are required as this role will have direct customer interface responsibilities as well as a key leadership role in a dynamic team environment supporting and working closely with system developers, test, and support personnel.

Duties

Using MBSE to realize/describe/analyze complex systems in SysML using Cameo, Enterprise Architect or equivalent methodologies

Developing SysML models with emphasis on system decomposition, functions, interfaces, and performance to describe and analyze complex systems and software

Analyzing customer/stakeholder requirements, decomposing requirements, deriving requirements, and allocating requirements to system and subsystem elements

Promoting, maturing, and growing the application and use of MBSE for assigned design teams, programs, and the enterprise

Developing the MBSE modeling environment

Developing MBSE processes, procedures, templates, and best practices

Support the development of training material for MBSE stakeholders

Developing operational models using frameworks such as DoDAF, MoDAF, UPDM, UAF

Working in adherence to structured and defined development processes

Performing peer reviews of fellow team members work

Assisting in preparation of proposals and presentation materials

Keyword: MBSE, Agile methodology, Leadership, requirements analysis and decomposition, Technical Lead, Conduct Technical Studies, Command and Control, Space Operations, Ground Entry Points (GEPs)

Required Experience

10+ years engineering

BS in SE, CS, EE, ME, or other engineering equivalent

Support programs through SRR, PDR, CDR or equivalent design reviews

Familiarity with modern IT infrastructure capabilities to include virtualization, cloud deployment and containerization (CNFs)

5+ years with SysML

5+ years developing models using No Magic's Cameo Systems Modeler (or similar) conforming to SysML

Working knowledge of space systems, including satellite ground systems

Experience with military space operations

Sense of ownership, urgency, and drive to accomplish results

Must have a current Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI

Preferred Skills and Experience

Demonstrated MBSE skills in modeling complex systems and teaching others MBSE

Experience working within the Defense and/or Aerospace industry

Experience in ground systems, system engineering, or software is a plus

Experience developing system level models, requirements, and architecture in conjunction with discipline engineering teams

Sharp analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and capable of working effectively in a dynamic environment

Familiarity with aerospace design and verification processes to include requirements development, validation and verification for conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design

Competitive salary based on experience and education Salary Range: $165,000-$205,000
