Position Summary
Drive sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and optimal inventory levels.
Budget and forecast sales, and assess economic trends and community needs.
Provide direction and guidance to Associates on proper customer/member service approaches and techniques.
Resolve customer/member complaints and issues within company guidelines and standards.
Oversee community outreach programs and encourage Associates to serve as community members.
Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center.
Analyze and interpret reports, implement and monitor asset protection and safety controls, and oversee safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews.
Develop and implement action plans to improve performance and execute company programs and strategic initiatives.
Supervise and develop Associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset.
Ensure the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating Members, selecting products based on Member needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining optical equipment.
Uphold the Company’s Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies and procedures, and suggesting resolutions.
Coordinate and oversee job‑related activities and assignments, develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and build accountability for achieving results.
Identify and communicate goals and objectives, measure progress, identify improvement opportunities, and promote continuous learning.

Qualifications
Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience including 1 year’s optical experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supervising Associates.
