Assistant Professor - Practice (Division of Restorative and Prosthetic Dentistry, Ohio State University)

Position Overview The College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University is seeking applications for part‑time faculty positions at the rank of assistant professor – practice in the Division of Restorative and Prosthetic Dentistry. The primary responsibilities of this position will be didactic and clinical instruction in the pre‑doctoral fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics curricula.
Performance Objectives
Promote evidence‑based teaching skills in an education setting and keep a strong track record of scholarly activity.
Demonstrate a passion for student education.
Apply advanced technology to enhance teaching and learning.
Participate in teaching activities consistent with division goals.
Demonstrate effective teaching skills through student and peer reviews.
Support a dental education model that incorporates innovative technologies, interdisciplinary education and patient care, and evidence‑based clinical dentistry.
Provide interdisciplinary mentoring to students.
Demonstrate collaboration between college divisions.
Maintain membership in professional organizations and contribute to professional activities outside the university.

Education & Experience Requirements Required:
Candidates must have a DDS/DMD degree or equivalent and be eligible for a regular or limited teaching license by the Ohio State Dental Board.
Desired:
Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, experience applying advanced digital technology in dental education, and an MS, PhD, EdD, or other advanced degree. Board certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics is highly desirable.
