Description
Martin Marietta is seeking an Equipment Specialist to join our Maintenance Services team. Reporting to the Maintenance Services Manager, the Equipment Specialist will be responsible for safely performing troubleshooting, predictive maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs, and project support for the crushing equipment in their region of responsibility.
Job Responsibilities
Participate as an active team member and leader for crusher maintenance efforts across the entire corporation.
Safely and efficiently perform crusher inspections, trouble shooting, maintenance, repair, rebuild and start-up functions.
Inspect, survey, troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis using good communication skills and report writing capabilities.
Financial management of projects and personal expenses are a vital component of the job.
Lead and supervise teams appointed to complete job assignments of various sizes. Some jobs will require individual effort to complete the work and will require the ability to rig, cut, weld, fabricate, disassemble and restore equipment to its full operating condition, without the help of others.
Communicate and train people on Best Practices of Operation, Preventative Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance.
Requirements
HS Diploma or GED required
Have 10+ years of hands-on work experience with Gyratory, Jaw, and Cone crushers
Self-motivated individual willing to work with minimal supervision and at a high level of accountability to operational requirements
Strong mechanical background and working knowledge of crushing equipment
Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems to perform basic trouble shooting, start up and maintenance tasks; ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics
Ability to correctly measure parts, clearances and interference fits; experience with micrometers and calipers to measure parts
Strong personal commitment to safety and a strong work ethic
Basic computer skills required; advanced computer skills for reporting, information transfer, scheduling and analysis a plus
Able and willing to travel frequently
