Senior Account Manager

The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for delivering revenue and profit objectives for SalonCentric. This role focuses on driving measurable business results through strategic account management, budget optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. The Account Manager will plan and execute targeted business strategies to achieve financial sales, expense, and profit targets while serving as the primary liaison between SalonCentric and internal teams including Field Sales, Education, Marketing, Planning, Operations, and Finance. Success in this position requires a results-driven approach to relationship management, forecasting accuracy, and account growth.

$98,000 + bonus

What You'll Do Account Relationship Management

Serve as the main point of contact for SalonCentric, connecting with account stakeholders consistently to understand business opportunities and challenges while building strong, lasting relationships.

Sales Performance & Forecasting

Achieve sales budgets, forecasts, and other monthly / quarterly / annual KPIs.

Closely monitor order fulfillment progress against monthly SKU forecasts and financial targets.

Report monthly on sales performance, growth metrics, and account health.

Maximize both sell-in and sell-out performance.

Strategic Business Development

Develop and execute customized business strategies aimed at increasing sales, customer loyalty, and profitability.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within SalonCentric.

Budget & Allowance Management

Manage and maintain budget strategy and execution, ensuring effective use of allowances to drive incremental sales and deliver acceptable ROI.

Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination

Partner with Planning teams to forecast all SKUs, including open stock, promotions, and new product launches.

Participate in monthly S&OP processes to ensure forecast accuracy.

Collaborate with Operations to ensure PO processing and logistics meet account requirements.

Inventory Optimization

Monitor and address low and out-of-stock situations proactively to maintain product availability and maximize sales.

Go-to-Market Planning

Manage planning and negotiation of in-store, digital, and marketing initiatives.

Support new product launch go-to-market plans and brand / product priorities.

Account Calendar Management

Maintain a comprehensive calendar of account activities and events to ensure strategic alignment and execution timing.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Marketing, Education, and Field Sales teams to develop tools, insights, processes, and programs that drive growth.

Execute customer programs across functional areas.

Program Execution

Lead coordination of internal projects tied to the account, including sampling programs, loyalty initiatives, gratis allocations, and other customer-facing activations.

Marketing & Education Support

Collaborate on deal sheets, catalogs, merchandising assets, sales / training presentations, and customer event coordination.

Financial Management

Manage and troubleshoot deductions, credits, and returns for SalonCentric.

Maintain communication with Finance to ensure account payment status remains current.

Performance Analysis

Analyze promotion and SKU performance metrics to assess ROI.

Share insights and recommendations with Sales and Marketing teams to inform future promotional planning and account optimization.

Must Haves

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.

5+ years of account management or sales experience in the beauty, professional haircare, or consumer goods industry.

Experience managing large-scale, multi-location accounts (SalonCentric or other national distributor experience preferred).

Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales and profitability targets.

Strong forecasting, budgeting, and P&L management skills.

Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills.

Highly organized with excellent time management and prioritization abilities.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with CRM systems a plus.

Ability to travel as needed for account visits, meetings, and events (2030%).
