Clinical Instructor of Medicine (Part‑Time) – Division of Oncology

Overview The Department of Medicine at Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California, seeks a part‑time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to serve as a clinical instructor in medical oncology. The candidate will work collaboratively with oncologists across several sub‑specialties at Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, providing direct patient care, counseling, and assistance with clinical research projects.

Responsibilities

Perform physical examinations and manage common episodic and chronic health care problems in oncology patients.

Counsel patients and families, monitor patient progress, and assist with clinical research projects.

Collaborate with other health‑care team members, consulting and referring as appropriate, while retaining responsibility for ongoing clinical management of oncology patients.

Work closely with oncologists in Head/Neck, Lung, GU, and other sub‑specialties at Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Qualifications

Current certificate of completion from a Nurse Practitioner program (for NP candidates).

Current and valid California State RN and Nurse Practitioner licenses.

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Clinical nursing experience, with strong clinical skills and an interest in serving a diverse patient population.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Compensation and Benefits Annual base salary range: $76,440 – $215,300.80. The position includes a highly competitive salary package with excellent benefits, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
