Staff Accountant A rapidly growing tech startup is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Staff Accountant
to join its expanding finance team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and enjoys improving processes while maintaining a high level of accuracy. You will play a key role in managing daily accounting operations, supporting month-end close activities, and driving financial reporting accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Manage full-cycle accounts payable, invoice processing, and expense tracking.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, and People teams to ensure proper expense allocation and reporting.
Assist with audit preparation, tax documentation, and internal control implementation.
Identify and implement process improvements and contribute to system enhancements (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Intacct).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CPA track preferred.
3–6 years of accounting experience, ideally within public accounting or a startup/technology company.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accrual-based accounting.
Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational ability, and communication skills.
Process-oriented and proactive, with a strong desire to help shape an emerging finance function.
