About The Role
As the Head of Strategic Grocery Accounts, you will be responsible for the sales of our top grocery partnerships across the United States. Grocery & Retail is a primary growth bet for Uber, bringing on‑demand delivery of virtually anything to Uber Eats customers worldwide—an initiative crucial to achieving that goal.
What You'll Do
Build new partnerships with high‑impact merchants.
Equip the team with sales tools, continuous improvement, and project management.
What Will Make You Successful
Storytelling – craft stories that resonate with C‑level executives.
Data‑driven – proficient in querying (SQL) and synthesizing large data sets.
Negotiation skills – effectively sell the value of Uber’s Grocery & Retail platform.
Strategic thought leadership – capable of creating deal proposals and navigating P&L insights.
Docs, decks, and contract expertise – experienced in producing executive‑level materials.
Result orientation – rally internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 6 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Consulting, or Investment Banking.
Analytical capabilities (SQL and modeling).
Strong executive presence and exceptional communication skills.
Use of insights and data to shape strategy and decision‑making.
Self‑starter in a fast‑moving, evolving environment with a passion for sales.
Clear value proposition framing and objection handling.
Willingness to dive deep with internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of technical deal aspects (e.g., tax, contractual language).
Track record working cross‑functionally with Legal, Engineering, Product, Tax, and Marketing.
CRM experience (Salesforce).
Experience in on‑demand delivery or retail.
Compensation & Benefits
For Chicago, IL‑based roles: USD$176,000–$196,000 per year. For Los Angeles, CA‑based roles: USD$176,000–$196,000 per year. For Miami, FL‑based roles: USD$176,000–$196,000 per year. For New York, NY‑based roles: USD$196,000–$218,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA‑based roles: USD$196,000–$218,000 per year. All US locations are eligible for Uber’s bonus program, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits package.
