Category Space Manager

Aston Carter . Will be mostly remote with some occasional travel once a month or a week. Needs to be local to Chicagoland area and able to commute to surrounding suburbs if needed. Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm CST. Responsibilities
Build strong relationships with retailers as a trusted Category advisor across all areas of the business. Develop impactful category analyses and consumer insights using a range of syndicated and non-syndicated data sources. Synthesize learnings from various sources to create clear and impactful selling stories in a visually appealing manner using PowerPoint. Effectively educate internal teammates and external customers on growth opportunities through clear and impactful communications. Partner with the Sales team to engage the external retailer buying team in defined territories to identify opportunities to grow the category. Use space planning software to effectively merchandise the department according to category and retailer strategy. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business or similar field. Moderate to Advanced proficiency utilizing Microsoft Excel to manipulate and organize data. Moderate to Advanced proficiency in utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint to organize and visualize the storyline for presentations. Ability to understand information, develop insights, and identify opportunities when analyzing large data sets. Shelf management and planogram creation experience (JDA, Apollo, etc.). Preferred Qualifications
Category Management or Sales experience in the consumer packaged goods industry. Strong familiarity with syndicated data, software, and measures (IRI, Nielsen, etc.). Strong familiarity with shopper panel information data, software and measures (IRI, Nielsen, Numerator, Retailer Loyalty data, etc.). Experience with dashboarding software such as PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, or Spotfire. Key Skills

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your classification and length of employment.
