What You’ll Own
Equipment Reliability & Uptime
Preventive/predictive maintenance programs (TPM/CMMS), critical spares, and failure mode libraries.
Rapid troubleshooting and root cause analysis (A3/8D/DMAIC) to minimize MTTR and drive MTBF up.
Builds, upgrades & Automation
Design/fab/commission mechanical and electrical upgrades: frames, guarding, motion/control, sensors.
PLC/HMI changes (Allen-Bradley/Siemens), VFD/servo tuning, recipe control, data acquisition/SCADA.
URS → FS/DS → FAT/SAT → IQ/OQ/PQ for new or modified equipment.
Process Equipment Coverage (typical ePTFE line)
Paste extruders & ram extruders, calendaring, stretching units, sintering ovens, skiving/winding, slitting.
Metrology stations (density, porosity, tensile, bubble point/air flow) and inline inspection.
Utilities, Facilities & Safety
Compressed air, vacuum, inert gas, ventilation, thermal control, cleanroom support (ISO 7/8).
Lockout/Tagout, machine safeguarding, EHS/OSHA compliance and risk assessments.
Documentation & Training
SOPs, PM job plans, wiring diagrams/P&IDs, BOMs, and parts lists; train techs and operators.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Work with Quality (ISO 13485/9001, 21 CFR 820 change control), Ops (OEE/throughput), and R&D (NPI).
Ideal Candidates
5+ years in equipment engineering/maintenance engineering in manufacturing equipment; ePTFE/PTFE/fluoropolymer experience is a strong plus.
BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics (or equivalent experience).
Strong mechanical aptitude (precision alignment, bearings, drives, web handling/tension control) and controls literacy (PLC/HMI, I/O, sensors, VFD/servo).
Comfortable with thermal systems/ovens, pneumatics, and motion systems; able to read/create schematics, P&IDs, and GD&T drawings.
Experience with validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), change control, and audit readiness in a regulated environment.
Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD, CMMS, and basic statistics/SPC.
