Mid-Level Real Estate Associate – Commercial Real Estate Law
Location: Charlotte, NC 28202
Compensation: $150,000 - $175,000 (Depending on Experience)
About The Role Our client, a respected law firm partnered with W3Global, is seeking a Mid-Level Real Estate Associate to join their Charleston office. We're looking for a talented attorney with a strong foundation in commercial real estate law and a proven track record representing clients across diverse transactions and legal matters. In this role, you'll play a key part in guiding clients through acquisitions, dispositions, financings, common and preferred equity investments, leases, development projects, zoning and entitlement matters, and joint ventures. You'll also represent developers, investors, and lenders in real property secured financings – drafting and negotiating agreements that move deals forward.
Key Responsibilities
Represent clients in real estate acquisitions, sales, and financing transactions
Provide legal counsel on development, zoning, entitlement, and land use matters
Negotiate and draft agreements, leases, and joint venture documents
Represent clients in zoning appeals, property tax assessments, and workforce housing agreements
Advise on corporate governance and real estate investment structures
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Eligibility for South Carolina Bar admission (preferred)
5+ years of experience in commercial real estate law
Strong expertise in real estate finance, zoning, entitlement, and land use
Experience representing developers, lenders, and institutional clients highly preferred
Proven ability to independently manage and close complex transactions
