OxyChem is hiring for the Process Supervisor role at the landmark STRATOS Direct Air Capture facility in the Permian Basin, Texas.
Job Overview Direct Air Capture uses industrial processes to remove CO₂ from ambient air. The STRATOS facility is designed to capture up to 500,000 tons of atmospheric CO₂ annually and will become the world’s largest DAAC. Oxy subsidiaries 1PointFive will own the facility, with OxyChem responsible for operation and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of employees, customers, and communities.
Ensure consistency of operation, application of policies/procedures, and accountability across all shifts.
Plan and direct the activities of the process area to achieve production of quality products in a safe, efficient, and reliable manner.
Develop and enhance management systems and procedures to benchmark operating performance against standards.
Manage reliability priorities, maintenance backlogs, and coordinate with planners and lead technicians for maintenance excellence.
Identify capital projects and assist in scope development.
Provide outage planning for scheduled shutdowns, including timing, scope, and coordination with maintenance and cost planning.
Ensure raw material and product inventories meet minimum–maximum levels and specifications.
Collaborate with business and logistics leaders on raw material needs, permissible inventory flexibility, production needs, and shipment targets.
Lead projects to improve manufacturing cost performance.
Direct process technicians on key parameters, operating instructions, equipment preparation, troubleshooting, planning, and safety.

Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a chemical plant environment.
Strong communication skills with vendors, customers, and regulatory agencies.
Availability to respond to off‑hour emergencies.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office and good working knowledge of SAP.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and respond to non‑routine callouts.
Lift 40 lbs and climb ladders and stairs.
Wear personal protective equipment, including respirator and respond to alarms.
