Essential Functions
Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining, and completing employee performance appraisals.
Supervises/coordinates daily work activities; organizes, prioritizes, and assigns work; monitors status of work in progress and inspects completed work; confers with assigned staff, assists with complex problem situations, and provides technical expertise.
Oversees or conducts operational and legal research, productivity analyses and management studies to assist in the management of divisional operations, programs, and services.
Performs financial reviews and analyses for the division: compiles and evaluates operational data and cost histories; monitors and reviews billing activities, expenditures, and financial reports; conducts detailed cost analysis; makes recommendations to improve cost and operational effectiveness; and participates in budget development.
Oversees or coordinates special projects for the division, including the planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of moderate construction/maintenance projects, management studies, introduction of new programs, and various professional services.
Oversees professional contractors and/or consultants providing services for projects; participates in the evaluation and selection of contractors/consultants; interfaces with and monitors the contractors/consultants to ensure timely and quality completion of projects; facilitates cooperation with the project throughout the organization; and provides information and support as needed.
Assists the Division managers with strategic and long‑range planning for divisional operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Three (3) years of related experience.
Candidates without a degree should possess four (4) additional years of related experience.
Fingerprinting required.
Licenses / Certificates
May be required to possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License with any applicable endorsement(s) to drive a County vehicle as provided in CMA 5805.
Supplemental Information Salary offers above the minimum pay grade may be considered based on qualifications. Essential Employees may be required to work during an undeclared or declared emergency. The County’s Administrative Office will determine who will be required to work on an incident‑by‑incident basis.
