Job Summary Under the general supervision of the Department of Child Safety (DCS) Program Administrator, this position manages the workflow of placement referrals to find appropriate placement for children coming into DCS custody, completes tracking logs, and supports staff engaged in child safety services.

Responsibilities

Evaluate incoming referrals and, in coordination with the direct supervisor, select appropriate placement according to departmental and regional policies.

Review case work products, analyze facts obtained by field DCS specialists, and provide input on cases.

Assess suitability of intervention plans, case plans, progress, barriers, placement, services, visitation, and other case components to ensure child safety compliance with policy, procedures, and statutes.

Respond to and resolve problems and questions related to policy, procedures, and specific case issues.

Attend staff meetings, participate in problem‑solving and decision‑making, attend trainings, professional seminars, conferences, and management meetings, and participate in work teams and other meetings as requested.

Produce, utilize, and send reports; write detailed reports summarizing activities or productions covering a specified period or marking project completion.

Perform other duties as assigned, typically 5%‑10% of time.

Qualifications

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Field experience and knowledge of social services.

Valid state‑issued driver’s license; ability to maintain a current Arizona vehicle registration and valid motor vehicle insurance.

Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and clearance from the DCS Central Registry.

Current and verifiable Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E‑Verify) completion.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Guardian documentation system.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem‑solving ability, and capability to establish and maintain professional relationships with children, families, and court representatives.
