Benefit Engagement Specialist Benefit Communication Insourcing is a Lockton Company that provides customized benefit communication and administrative services to employees throughout the U.S., supporting clients’ HR departments and their employees.

Location The position is onsite at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Salary and Benefits Provided pay range: $50,000 – $55,000 per year. Base pay range: the same amount. Eligibility for monthly incentive pay based on performance metrics after 90 days of active employment.

Key Responsibilities

Represent BCInsourcing as a company ambassador to clients by engaging in purpose‑driven dialogue with department leaders and maintaining rapport with all case partners and employees.

Provide SME‑certified license knowledge in client HR/Benefit meetings, NEO presentations, and group meetings to help managers address employee concerns.

Make independent decisions regarding outreach strategy and participate in client initiatives and projects related to total rewards.

Create an approachable environment in primary and secondary workplace locations, traveling as necessary or operating remotely to counsel employees about core and voluntary benefit options and coverages; manage time effectively to respond to impromptu service requests and answer client and employee questions.

Analyze census data to develop a customized reach‑out strategy that connects with newly hired and existing employees for personalized one‑on‑one benefit review sessions.

Accurately input and capture employee enrollment decisions using appropriate system platforms or paper application processes, following Life and Health licensure regulations and BCInsourcing’s quality assurance.

Develop communication strategies to achieve client goals in a changing environment, employing professional verbal and interpersonal skills and active listening to educate employees and interact with client partners.

Create and grow a professional work environment, coordinating promptly with supervisors or other relevant parties, including client management, to resolve accelerated issues or unusual matters thoroughly and accurately.

Obtain and maintain an active Life, Health, and Accident Insurance Producer’s License, including timely continuing education; serve as subject‑matter expert on insurance mechanics to advise client leadership and employees; notify BCInsourcing’s Licensing Specialist of any information that may affect licensure or appointment status.

Maintain a working knowledge of the client’s annual open enrollment process for new and/or existing employees; adapt to open enrollment periods and special projects by adjusting a self‑guided work calendar to meet employee needs, including evenings, weekends, and necessary travel.

Perform other responsibilities as requested by supervisor or client.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma/GED equivalent and/or related work‑experience equivalency.

Valid driver’s license to travel to client sites.

Proven relationship‑building experience and professional communication skills.

Demonstrated self‑directed work ethic to successfully represent the company at the client location with limited and offsite supervision.

Professional work experience demonstrating self‑motivation and result‑driven outcomes.

Prior experience in Human Resources, including employee benefits.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree completed or in process.

Working knowledge of insurance products, including core and voluntary benefits.

Existing active Life, Health, and Accident Insurance Producer’s License if required by the client workplace.
