Associate Strategic Sourcing Manager

Associate Sourcing Manager
on our expanding Procurement team! In this role, you'll develop and execute sourcing strategies across assigned spend categories totaling approximately $150 million annually, supporting Construction and Field Support business partners, including site services, store construction, facilities maintenance, and capital equipment. This includes identifying cost‑saving opportunities, improving supply chain efficiency, and managing supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze category trends, assess vendor capabilities, evaluate performance, and develop sources to inform effective sourcing strategies and tactics.
Support cross‑functional teams in the planning and execution of RFx events in Coupa, ensuring alignment with sourcing goals.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand sourcing needs and provide guidance on procurement processes and best practices.
Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives for assigned spending categories, ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
Work closely with team members and cross‑functional partners to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Formulate negotiation strategies and draft commercial terms and contract language to secure best‑value agreements that protect the company’s best interests.
Demonstrate experience in sourcing and procurement within categories such as foodservice equipment, general construction equipment, maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), spare parts, facilities and site services, and utilities.
Conduct supplier assessments and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with quality standards and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Execute cost optimization initiatives through competitive RFx events and direct vendor negotiations.
Track and report savings achievements in alignment with annual procurement goals and policy requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Compensation Starting pay range: $75,000 - $92,000. Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's KSAs, related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance. The full salary range for this role extends beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in operations, supply chain management, business, or equivalent relevant work‑related experience.
At least five years of experience in sourcing and procurement for indirect categories.
Strong knowledge of a wide range of indirect and direct product and service categories.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and organizational boundaries.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong cross‑functional relationships, demonstrating the value of collaboration and driving adoption of sourcing initiatives.
Skilled in negotiation, conflict resolution, data analysis, and collaborative problem solving.
Strong mathematical/statistical capabilities to support supplier portfolio optimization and strategic trade‑off analysis.
Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools to support decision‑making.
Experience using e‑sourcing and contract management platforms to execute sourcing strategies effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Preferred
Experience in the convenience store, restaurant and/or distribution industries.
Experience working directly with suppliers, balancing total cost‑to‑serve considerations with commercial objectives, while developing mutually beneficial joint business plans.
Experience working with multiple partners to resolve exceptions and negotiate optimal solutions that align with business goals.
Certifications in procurement and supply chain management, such as CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, or CIPS. Knowledge of enterprise technology tools that support sourcing and procurement execution, analytics, and reporting.
Familiarity with construction processes and terminology; must be able to effectively support construction‑related functions.
