Sidwell Friends School
Sidwell Friends School, a co-educational Quaker day school, seeks substitute on‑call nurses to work "as needed" during the school day for the 2025‑2026 school year. The substitute school nurse will provide first aid, administer medication, and maintain health records.
Strong candidates will have experience working with children in a healthcare setting and have a warm and welcoming personal demeanor. Dependability, punctuality, and strong organizational skills are required.
Requirements
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Washington, D.C. and Maryland
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Preferred Qualifications
At least one year of clinical pediatric nursing experience in the last 5 years
Previous experience in public health or clinical setting, preferably in school nursing or in a community health setting servicing children.
