Salary: $110,000 - $115,000 per year Shift: First Work hours: 8 AM – 5 PM Education: High School
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of maintenance mechanics, scheduling staff and delegating repair tasks for a continuous production schedule
Manage the preventative maintenance (PM) program for bakery‑specific equipment, including ovens, mixers, proofers, dividers, and packaging systems
Oversee all facility and equipment upgrades, with a focus on maintaining hygienic design and food safety standards
Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations, including HACCP, BRC, and CCPs (e.g., metal detectors, temperature controls)
Troubleshoot and repair complex issues on bakery equipment to minimize downtime and prevent product loss
Maintain and calibrate critical temperature control points for ingredient storage and product cooling
Manage a sifter screen monitoring program and other quality control measures
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance management role within a food production or industrial bakery setting.
Demonstrated knowledge of bakery‑specific equipment and systems.
Expertise in food safety regulations (HACCP, BRC) and a strong commitment to maintaining them.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Strong technical background in mechanical and electrical systems.
Essential Functions
Working in a smoke‑free environment
Working in a non‑temperature controlled environment
Manual lifting up to 50 lbs
Standing for 6 hours at one time
Working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
Working weekends
