Base pay range $140,000.00/yr - $155,000.00/yr

Summary The Technical Product Manager will guide the strategic direction, development, and delivery of technology‑driven solutions that advance organizational objectives. This hands‑on leader bridges business needs with technical execution, partnering closely with engineering, design, and stakeholder teams to define product strategy, prioritize backlogs, and deliver scalable, high‑quality systems.

Combining deep technical understanding with strong product management discipline, the incumbent will ensure that business goals are translated into clear, actionable product requirements and that technical teams are empowered to execute efficiently.

Duties And Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders, user experience designers and engineering leaders to define and deliver a clear product vision that meets business needs.

Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications, epics, and user stories with well‑defined acceptance criteria.

Partner with engineering teams to assess feasibility, scope, and dependencies, ensuring efficient delivery of technically sound solutions.

Manage product backlogs and prioritize features based on business value, user impact, and technical constraints.

Support Agile development processes by participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and product reviews to ensure alignment across teams.

Serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the product lifecycle.

Collaborate with architects and developers to make informed decisions about system design, integration, scalability, and performance.

Identify and mitigate technical risks early in the development process, ensuring project milestones and quality standards are met.

Ensure quality of implemented products.

Partner with QA, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of products.

Maintain up‑to‑date technical and process documentation to support product knowledge sharing and team onboarding.

Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the cross‑functional product team.

Act as an advocate for technology‑driven improvements, continuously exploring opportunities to enhance efficiency, automation, and user experience.

Facilitate feedback loops between users, business leaders, and engineers to refine product direction and optimize technical delivery.

Target Salary Range $140,000 - $155,000 if located in Illinois

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Product Management, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical product management, software development, or related roles leading cross‑functional technical teams.

Proven ability to translate business goals into scalable technical solutions and manage full product lifecycles.

Strong understanding of software development processes, system integrations, APIs, and data architectures.

Experience collaborating with software engineers, architects, designers and QA teams in Agile environments.

Proficiency with product management and Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.

Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Preferred

Background in or exposure to professional services industries (legal, financial, consulting, etc.).

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise technology ecosystems.

Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent Agile certification.

User‑centered mindset and familiarity with UX design principles or experience collaborating with design teams on user‑centric solutions.

Experience with running design thinking workshops and art of the possible design sessions.
