About the Role As a Heavy Maintenance Representative, you’ll serve as the on‑site liaison between the company and its maintenance vendors, overseeing all major aircraft maintenance activities to ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll monitor progress, validate technical discrepancies, review records and invoices, and coordinate with internal teams to maintain compliance and efficiency. In this role, you’ll represent the company’s best interests, uphold regulatory and contractual requirements, and contribute to the overall reliability and readiness of the fleet.

A Day in the Life Your day will be dynamic and highly collaborative, centered around ensuring every Heavy Maintenance Visit (HMV) or unscheduled “Drop‑In” maintenance event runs smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance. Typical responsibilities include:

Serve as the company’s on‑site representative for all matters related to Heavy Maintenance, providing leadership and oversight throughout each visit.

Monitor all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance performed by the HMV Service Provider to ensure quality, cost, and schedule expectations are consistently met.

Provide an active management presence, ensuring that all maintenance decisions and actions are made in the best interest of the company.

Oversee the HMV Service Provider’s adherence to company policies, the General Maintenance Manual, and all applicable technical data, procedures, and directives.

Ensure the HMV Service Provider fulfills all contractual obligations and performance expectations.

Evaluate and validate “non‑routine” technical discrepancies to support accurate and efficient resolution.

Track the completion, accuracy, and processing of aircraft maintenance records to maintain compliance and traceability.

Continuously monitor work progress and ensure each HMV is completed on schedule and within approved cost targets.

Act as the primary link between the HMV Service Provider and the company’s Maintenance & Engineering Department.

Safeguard and account for all company property and assets throughout the maintenance process.

Partner with the Material Coordinator to ensure required parts and materials are available to meet maintenance schedules.

Provide daily progress reports and compile cost, man‑hour, and performance summaries for the Maintenance Planning Manager.

Review and validate HMV invoices to ensure all charges are accurate, supporting the development of maintenance budgets and future HMV planning.

Quickly report any conditions that could impact work quality, progress, or cost to the Heavy Maintenance Manager.

Audit each HMV aircraft’s Statement of Work and Work Release to confirm data accuracy and ensure all maintenance is properly accounted for.

Verify that all scheduled maintenance items are completed or properly transferred per approved procedures.

Support the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) by contributing to Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance activities.

Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support the overall success of the Heavy Maintenance operation.

Why You’ll Love This Role Be Part of a Team That Values You: Join a supportive and experienced maintenance team that takes pride in collaboration, safety, and excellence in every aircraft project. No Two Days Are the Same: Every visit brings new challenges—from troubleshooting complex issues to managing unscheduled maintenance—keeping your work engaging and rewarding. Make a Tangible Impact: Your technical expertise and leadership directly influence aircraft reliability, operational readiness, and passenger safety. You’re More Than a Number: Your contributions are recognized and valued—you’ll have a real voice in decisions that shape the success of the maintenance operation.
