Position Summary The Fleet Programs – Project Manager supports the execution of high priority fleet program initiatives, leading project work streams within the fleet program project portfolio. The Project Manager performs general project tasks such as project analysis and planning, task management, status reporting, business analysis and leading cross‑functional brainstorming sessions. The role involves working collaboratively with JetBlue Technical Operations, Engineering, Quality, Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, Commercial and Legal teams to drive program results.
This individual builds relationships, interacts and presents to people at different levels inside and outside the organization, influences others and is a crewmember whose personal values match JetBlue’s values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun.
Essential Responsibilities
Identify and document departmental objectives to align with project goals.
Manage medium to large‑scale project work streams from initiation to completion.
Support all phases of the project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery.
Facilitate cross‑functional discussions for effective collaboration and decision‑making.
Develop schedules and monitor progress to manage timelines and risks.
Escalate and mitigate project risks for timely decision‑making.
Lead the development of comprehensive project plans.
Deliver concise project status reports to keep stakeholders informed.
Oversee budget tracking to ensure projects stay within budget.
Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms with partners.
Prepare data analysis and ad‑hoc reports to support decisions.
Take on additional projects or duties as needed to support business goals.
Gather, document and understand departmental objectives and requirements.
Ability to individually manage program workstreams with minimal leadership oversight.
Support discussions with lessors on aircraft condition and problem‑solving of outstanding technical items.
Assist in the contracting and negotiation processes with potential business partners.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of relevant work experience.
Three (3) years of technical operations, engineering or related experience.
Strong JetBlue knowledge and ability to navigate the organization.
Knowledgeable in aircraft technical components and maintenance contracts; ability to forecast technical expenses.
Experience working with external business partners.Strong capabilities with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Project.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively manage project communications and stakeholder expectations at all levels of the organization.
Makes reasonable judgments quickly, and adjusts thinking to assimilate new information or ideas.
Ability to work independently and in a high‑pressure team environment.
Available for overnight travel (30%).
Must pass a pre‑employment drug test.
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Five (5) years of technical operations, engineering or related experience.
Graduate degree in Engineering or related field.
Holds an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P), Six Sigma or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or related.
Ability to think creatively to solve problems.
Passionate about providing excellent service to fellow crewmembers and customers.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and strategic time‑management skills.
Effective research skills including the ability to analyze information, make determinations, and issue progress reports in accordance with company guidelines.
Highly motivated self‑starter with the ability to multi‑task.
Ability to rapidly resolve complex issues.
Crewmember Expectations
Regular attendance and punctuality.
Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice.
Able to maintain a professional appearance.
When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft.
Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, i.e., exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun.
Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue’s Safety Management System.

Compensation
The base pay range for this position is between $100,000.00 and $128,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
