As a Security Officer - Shelter Patrol Days in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as shelter. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas within a shelter environment, remaining visible to help deter security‑related incidents and promote a secure atmosphere. Your role involves conducting regular patrols, interacting positively with residents and staff, and delivering outstanding customer service. You will be a key part of a team that values integrity, agility, and innovation, putting people first while helping to maintain a welcoming and protected environment.

What You’ll Do
Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner to assist residents and staff.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the shelter property and perimeter.
Observe and report security‑related concerns or unusual activity as required by location protocols.
Support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff by demonstrating professionalism and respect in all interactions.
Minimum Requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Background investigation as required by federal, state, and local laws.
Consideration of criminal histories consistent with applicable laws.
Drug screening as allowed by law.
Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws; valid driver’s license required only for driving positions.
