The WRK Group is seeking a Marketing & Social Media Strategist to drive high-quality, mission-centered marketing efforts across our network of organizations serving the Riverside community in Wilmington, DE. In this dynamic role, you’ll manage content strategy, lead brand storytelling, and build authentic engagement across digital platforms.

What You’ll Do As the Marketing & Social Media Strategist, you will plan, create, and manage digital content and campaigns across WRK Group entities — amplifying community stories, events, and impact. You’ll oversee social media strategy, digital engagement, email marketing, content calendars, and reporting to ensure consistent brand messaging and measurable growth.

You will collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications and cross‑departmental teams to align messaging, promote programming, and support organizational priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute quarterly marketing and content strategies aligned to organizational goals.

Lead campaigns for events, fundraising, recruitment, and storytelling.

Create campaign briefs outlining timelines, deliverables, and KPIs.

Manage all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube) across three brands.

Write, edit, and publish compelling content tailored to each audience.

Create newsletters and automated email campaigns using Mailchimp or Constant Contact.

Manage audience segmentation and performance reporting.

Assist with crisis communication needs when necessary.

Track campaign performance, audience growth, and engagement trends.

Manage marketing request intake and coordination.

Support media presence and live coverage at major events.

What We’re Looking For Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.

4–6 years of professional marketing and/or social media experience.

Proven ability to lead multi‑channel campaigns with measurable outcomes.

Experience translating mission‑driven work into compelling public storytelling.

Skills And Abilities

Exceptional writing, editing, and narrative voice development.

Strong digital content creation abilities, including photo/video.

Proficiency in social media strategy and analytics tools.

Organized, detail‑oriented, and strong project management skills.

Ability to communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders.

Community‑mindful and culturally competent.

Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Canva Magic Studio) for ideation and first drafts.

Familiarity with email marketing software, CRM systems, and project management tools.

Supervisory Responsibility This position does not have supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment And Requirements

Schedule:

Full‑Time, Exempt. Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM. Occasional evenings or weekends may be required for events.

Travel:

Primarily local during the business day, with some out‑of‑area or overnight travel as needed.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and operate standard technology equipment.
