The Certified Pre‑Owned Vehicle (CPOV) Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving the growth, training, and performance of Stellantis’ Certified Pre‑Owned Vehicle program across dealerships within their Business Center. This role focuses on expanding dealer participation, improving CPOV operations, and ensuring consistent execution of Stellantis standards for certified vehicles.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced, relationship‑driven environment and enjoys frequent travel (60‑80% travel within territory) to support dealer success.
Key Responsibilities
Consult with participating CPOV dealers to identify areas of opportunity and improve certified retail operations.
Train dealership staff on best practices for CPOV reconditioning, merchandising, and sales processes.
Schedule and execute CPOV pitch meetings with non‑participating dealers to expand program enrollment.
Promote, monitor, and enforce dealer compliance with Stellantis CPOV program policies and procedures.
Ensure accurate marketing, display, and online representation of CPOV inventory.
Analyze dealer performance metrics, providing actionable insights to improve certified sales volume and ROI.
Serve as the primary liaison between dealers, the Business Center, and Stellantis corporate teams to support program consistency.
Partner cross‑functionally with regional sales, marketing, and aftersales teams to elevate CPOV awareness and competitiveness.
Support CPOV marketing efforts, including dealership advertising, website enhancements, and incentive programs, while also developing nationwide strategies to enhance overall CPOV program effectiveness and visibility.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 3 years of Automotive industry experience, dealership sales management or OEM/dealer contact experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and relationship‑building abilities
Self‑starter with strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills
Proven track record in outside sales or territory management
Reside within or be willing to relocate to the Great Lakes Territory – including Michigan or close proximity
Ability to travel 60‑80% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Certified Pre‑Owned or used‑vehicle operations
Familiarity with OEM field sales or dealer network management
Understanding of dealership reconditioning and appraisal processes
Data‑driven mindset with ability to interpret sales reports and trends
Experience in training and development for dealership staff
Digital marketing experience
