Base pay range:
$18.00/hr – $27.00/hr
Job Summary The QC Inspector operates the AXI machine and performs quality inspections using AXI. The role reports to the Quality Engineering Manager and is located in Newark, CA.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Operate the AXI machine.
Support the entire AXI operation and line support activities.
Review AXI inspection data for accurate detection of component placement and solder joint defects.
Collaborate with processing and engineering teams to improve visual defect yields and resolve processing issues.
Perform AXI‑related quality inspection tasks.
Inspect components or feature chips, ICs, joints, text, connectors, etc., using the AXI computer‑operated machine.
Use magnification aids to inspect to IPC‑A‑610 standards.
Read and interpret assembly drawings, bills of materials, MPI, ECN, deviation, and other manufacturing documentation related to inspection.
Load AXI programs per instructions.
Perform inspections for accurate detection of SMT paste and component placement.
Support engineers and operators with equipment training, data collection, and system evaluations.
Assist engineers in data collection and engineering evaluations.
Participate in improvement initiatives such as 5S.
Required Education & Experience
Minimum 3 years operating 5DX or AXI equipment.
High School Diploma.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, and ESD.
IPC‑A‑610 Certification.
