Operations Support Specialist
to join our
Technical Operations
team in
Raritan, NJ . The role supports the production of personalized cell therapy in a sterile cGMP environment and operates within a defined shift schedule.
Role Overview The Operations Support Specialist will perform real‑time floor service tasks—such as kitting, kit cleaning, inventory management, sample handling, aseptic cleaning, and cryopreservation—according to SOPs and batch records. The position requires timely, safe, and quality‑compliant execution of responsibilities while documenting production data accurately.
Key Responsibilities
Support process operations by performing support‑specific and real‑time floor service tasks (kitting, kit cleaning, inventory management, sample management, aseptic cleaning, cryopreservation) in accordance with SOPs and batch records, while accurately recording production data.
Complete tasks on time, adhering to safety policies, quality systems, and cGMP requirements.
Build strong partnerships with Manufacturing, Warehouse, Engineering, and Quality teams, collaborating cross‑functionally to fulfill shift‑scheduled production tasks.
Support manufacturing process development and drive continuous improvements and efficiencies within cell therapy Technical Operations.
Requirements
High school diploma with relevant experience required; a certificate or associate’s degree in a scientific or health‑services field preferred, and a bachelor’s degree in a scientific or health‑services field preferred.
0–1 year of operations experience in a cGMP environment within the biotech/biopharma industry.
Proficient computer skills to navigate specialized software and databases.
Ability to build strong partnerships and work effectively with external collaborators in a matrixed environment.
Independent worker with strong prioritization, multitasking, and cross‑functional issue integration skills.
Clear, succinct verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail and procedural adherence.
Knowledge of cGMP regulations, FDA guidance related to manufacturing cell‑based products.
Physical capability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Sufficient vision and hearing for computer use and documentation.
Experience handling human‑derived materials in a BSL‑2 cleanroom facility.
Capacity to accommodate shift work, including evenings, weekends, unplanned overtime, and early‑morning (Sun‑Wed 7 am–6:30 pm) shifts.
Compensation The anticipated base pay range is
$41,467 – $60,989 USD .
