Mold Maintenance Lead at
MGS Mfg. Group . Location: Milwaukee, WI Job description details are provided by the employer and may include a sign-on bonus where applicable. Responsibilities
Troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of plastic molds and hot systems. Coordinate the activities of mold maintenance technicians and toolroom utility support technicians to meet the demands of the production environment. Daily use of toolroom equipment such as mills, surface grinders, and lathes to facilitate mold repair or improvement. Repair or request replacement parts, tooling, or hardware as needed to maintain replacement inventory. Set up and operate all hand-tool equipment along with manual toolroom machines. Troubleshoot tooling, related process issues, and defective parts. Evaluate repair requirements and maintain preventative maintenance interval schedules. Maintain tool history, tracking, storage, and associated systems. Maintain toolroom machinery, inventory, and miscellaneous supplies and equipment as needed. Instruct, train, and advise employees as needed. Maintain toolroom quality standards and efficiencies. Investigate potential areas for continuous improvement and implement action plans. Any other duties as assigned. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. Completion or enrollment in an accredited two-year technical college program or a state-indented tool and die apprenticeship with journeyman card or equivalent is preferred. Five to seven years of applicable plastics experience, or equivalent on-the-job training, education, and experience, is preferred. General machining and mold building/maintaining experience; additional classroom training preferred. Experience with repairing and preventative maintenance of molds preferred. Experience with toolroom equipment such as mills, surface grinders, and lathes preferred. Experience working with hot systems preferred. Understanding of mold building and injection molding process preferred. Lock out/Tag out and forklift experience. Equal Opportunity Employer:
