Security Officer - Government Patrol

Plymouth, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a valued member of Allied Universal, you will be responsible for patrolling and monitoring government facilities, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. In this unarmed patrol role, you will conduct regular patrols, remain visible throughout the location, and provide outstanding customer service while supporting a culture of teamwork and integrity. What You'll Do
Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures and following site‑specific policies at a government location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or potential security‑related concerns.
Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and communications as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying identification as required by site protocols.
Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal team members and site personnel to help create a welcoming and secure environment.
Minimum Requirements
At least 6 months of security‑related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
