Assists the Director of Rehab in the efficient clinical management of rehabilitation services in assigned account(s). Supports integration of rehabilitation services in all settings. Assesses need for and develops therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation. Identifies need for and makes referrals to other disciplines to address comprehensive patient needs. Implements individualized therapy programs designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance programs. Instructs, educates, and trains patients and caregivers in essential skills and functions to promote independence and productivity, diminishing or correcting pathology. Directs activities to promote and maintain health. Supports delivery of the highest standard of rehabilitation services. 1. Assists therapy staff in effective delivery of rehab services; adherence to plan of care, department and patient schedule, timely documentation. 2. Clinically manages Powerback Rehabilitation personnel and consultants within facility or home care contracts. 3. Continues direct patient care. 4. Supports highest standard of services through resource utilization, clinical program promotion, and staff development with licensed therapists, Clinical Operations Area Director, and Regional Clinical Director. 5. Assists DOR with customer service. 6. Ensures clinical management of rehab department oversight related to case management, quality improvement, care planning, clinical utilization, patient identification overseen by a licensed therapist. 7. Assists DOR in practice act compliance. 8. Attends facility meetings and shares information at facility meetings as directed. 9. Recognized as “go to person” from clinical standpoint in the gym. 10. Assists in clinical development and growth of therapy staff. 11. Assists in identifying areas of opportunity for clinical growth in collaboration with the Director of Rehab and Regional Clinical Director. 12. Assists in developing clinical excellence to support customer service. 13. Promotes teamwork, culture, and diversity within the rehab team. 14. Coordinates student and mentor programs. 15. Efficiently schedules the rehab gym. 16. Supervises PTAs or OTAs, temporary licenses, students, and support personnel per state licensure and professional standards. 17. Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences, and related meetings. 18. Makes referrals to other disciplines and agencies to address comprehensive patient needs. 19. Consults and collaborates with health care team to select the most appropriate therapeutic regimen. 20. Adapts program and/or plan of care according to patient needs. 21. Conducts training programs and participates in training medical, nursing, and other personnel in treatment techniques and objectives. 22. Performs other related duties as required. Qualifications
1. Valid Physical Therapy license in state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility. 2. Master’s degree in Physical Therapy, or 3. Master’s degree in a related field plus Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, or 4. Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience. 5. U.S. equivalent evaluation for non-U.S. degrees. 6. Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third‑party billing. 7. Ability to practice Physical Therapy per state guidelines. 8. Preferred minimum of four years of experience, preferably in LTC. Posted Salary Range
USD $44.00 - USD $54.00 /Hr.
