Position Overview The Sales Manager makes an impact by being a key member of the Grocery Sales Team responsible for providing insights and recommendations to improve new product introductions, distribution, shelving, price, and promotional mix by analyzing market and customer data consistent with company strategies and brand marketing plans. Responsible for data‑based sales presentations, distribution growth, strategic promotional planning and activation, monthly forecasting, deduction management, timely payments, and building strong, solid relationships with retail partners. Manage and lead broker partners in developing and executing business strategies and financial targets.
Responsibilities
Achieve annual budgeted growth
Develop sustainable strategies & solid execution that will deliver long‑term growth in line with strategic plans
Resource, grow and develop team in support of objectives
Keep senior management appraised of all key events
Provide insights and recommendations optimizing the 4Ps (product, placement, price, promotion) by analyzing performance, competitive benchmarking, and market trends
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (marketing, trade, etc.) and apply knowledge of category, customer, and consumer insights to create powerful fact‑based selling stories that drive share growth through portfolio expansion, innovation, promotional activity, etc. satisfying both Turkey Hill and the customer’s category strategies and objectives
Build, update, and refresh sales reports
Continuously evaluate business while acting strategically to anticipate business challenges and opportunities. Proactively identify risks and opportunities and provide recommended improvements
Perform all duties in compliance with all corporate and regulatory quality, GLP, and safety regulations
Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and FSMA guidelines as well as all safety regulations
Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the Safe Quality Foods (SQF) Food Safety and Quality standards
Be accountable to Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age
Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Communication, Marketing, Finance, Management or related discipline
3–5 years of experience in the Ice Cream/Dairy industry highly preferred
Strong track record of growth managing indirect retail grocery customers specifically via UNFI
Candidate must be based out of the Mid‑Atlantic
Understanding of trade management and experience with Exceedra or similar software programs
Expert Excel and PowerPoint skills; must be competent in managing and manipulating large complex data sets
Proficient in MS applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
Analytical skills, able to synthesize information, develop understanding and insights and transform data into compelling stories
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
High level of organizational skills, detail‑oriented, establish priorities, and ability to multi‑task
Strong communication & presentation skills. Experience presenting to retail customers a plus.

Physical Demands
The employee is required to talk and/or hear in a manufacturing setting where noise levels are high (PPE required)
The employee is required to wear mandated PPE based on assigned job area
The employee is frequently required to stand and walk in a manufacturing environment from 4 to 8+ hours
The employee must be able to ascend and descend stairs, and where applicable and when necessary, to perform various job‑related tasks
Must be able to position self to move, reach with arms/hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed to perform various job‑related tasks
The employee must be able to inspect all job‑related equipment (office or floor) to ensure it is in good working condition prior to use. Must be able to use hands/fingers to handle (or feel) to operate various types of office equipment
Must be able to operate all job‑related equipment (powered, hand or office) as required
Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust focus
Ability to lift 20 pounds and/or push/pull 20 pounds on a regular basis
Must have ability to travel to clients, customers, or other work sites by a variety of transportation methods
