Counter Salesperson – Hubbard Supplyhouse – Charlotte, NC Join the Team at Hubbard Supplyhouse! Hubbard Supplyhouse is seeking an energetic, self‑motivated individual to join our family‑like atmosphere. We are a plumbing and irrigation supply house that also specializes in kitchen, bath, appliances, and lighting. We proudly serve local plumbers, builders, and homeowners in bringing beautiful and functional living spaces to life. Responsibilities and Duties

Customer Service

Greet and assist walk‑in and telephone customers in a friendly, professional manner.

Handle multiple customers and customer requests simultaneously.

Help customers find the right products by asking questions, listening carefully, and offering solutions.

Troubleshoot product issues and offer technical support when needed. Research, source, and suggest alternative products to meet customer needs.

Enter orders accurately into Eclipse ERP and process returns or warranties by company guidelines.

Communicate proactively with customers about order updates, delays, or alternatives.

Maintain a clean, organized, and customer‑ready counter area.

Build rapport and relationships with repeat customers.

Sales Support

Recommend additional or promotional items to enhance customer purchases.

Inform outside sales staff and management of leads and customer needs.

Promote clearance or surplus inventory to help manage stock levels.

Communicate unexpected increases or decreases in product demand and inventory to the purchasing team or management.

Follow company pricing, credit, and sales policies.

General Duties

Keep up to date with new products through training and team learning.

Complete paperwork and transactions accurately and on time.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Minimum 1 year in a progressive position (2 years preferred).

Product/applications experience required.

Basic computer proficiency.

Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

Ability to lift, carry, and adjust weighing up to 100 pounds in multiple directions.

Preferred

Previous experience in plumbing, irrigation, or a related industry.

Minimum 2 years in a similar position.

Wholesale distribution experience.

Customer‑facing sales experience.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Ability to manage time and multitask in a busy environment.

Comfortable with initiating sales and recommending additional products.

Team player with a positive attitude.
