Associate Account Manager
Company : Varsity Spirit – a Varsity Brands Company known for driving spirit across cheer, dance, band, and yearbook.
Work Type : Full‑time, Hybrid – Monday‑Thursday in office, Friday work from home.
Location : Memphis, TN
Travel Requirement : Minimal travel to camp location site visits and meetings as needed.
How You Will Make An Impact : As an Associate Account Manager, you will serve as a liaison between Account Managers, camp partners, internal sales and operations teams. You will communicate with clients, maintain accurate documentation, and support the smooth execution of camps and events.
Responsibilities
Multi‑task between various inquiries and systems in a challenging environment.
Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including event forms, rooming lists, and other logistical records.
Communicate with and provide information to camp hosts by deadlines.
Communicate with and provide information to internal stakeholders, such as Sales and Operations teams.
Establish and help maintain positive relationships with venues and external partners; follow up regularly to ensure service standards are met.
Perform accurate data entry and maintain up‑to‑date records in relevant systems.
Assist VP, Operations and VP, Event Procurement, Planning and Partnerships with various projects as needed.
Learn the ins and outs of our organization and become a subject‑matter expert in hosting successful summer camps.
Communicate with the Camp Partnership Account Managers to ensure all their needs are understood and addressed.
Meticulously update event management systems with camp logistical details to ensure accurate information is received by internal and external customers.
Be detail‑oriented and able to meet daily and weekly deadlines.
Assist Operations teams in executing and improving processes to support organizational goals.
Be proactive, diligent with follow‑ups, and anticipate issues that may arise.
Be ready to step in and assist other departments when needed – teamwork!
Qualifications
Enthusiastic about continuous development and excited about working at Varsity.
Knowledge of the cheerleading and/or dance industry preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong willpower, determination, and self‑discipline.
Enthusiasm and positive energy – essential for team culture.
Education / Experience
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Physical Requirements This is a largely sedentary office role that involves occasional lifting of files and standing on a stool as necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
