Hunt Electric, Inc. and Instrument Control Center (ICC) of Salt Lake City, UT are seeking a qualified candidate for a full‑time Manufacturing Project Manager position in our Salt Lake City office.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee and drive complex manufacturing projects from conception through completion. You will be responsible for managing resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards. The qualified candidate will oversee the bidding, estimating and installation of electrical panel building projects to serve our customers.

Major Duties

Lead cross‑functional teams to successfully execute manufacturing projects.

Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Create preliminary schedules to ensure clients have lead times using just‑in‑time principles.

Manage key relationships with vendors, customers, and service providers.

Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Process contract drawings and specifications and ensure the project complies with these documents.

Process and manage change orders.

Prepare billings and ensure timely payment of billings.

Monitor project material and labor costs and ensure accurate quality reporting is conducted.

Read, interpret, analyze, and forecast a project’s cost report and determine the status of the job in terms of schedule and cost.

Be aware of unit costs and monitor and compare daily progress on site with that of the project’s estimates.

Conduct project coordination meetings as needed.

Coordinate, manage, and communicate with all vendors and effectively resolve problems such as delivery, labor, schedule, and payment disputes.

Demonstrate dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.

Demonstrate an aptitude for learning and a goal‑oriented mindset for continual growth with a “Can‑Do” positive attitude.

Actively contribute to a positive team environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Proven experience as a Project Manager with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects in a manufacturing environment.

Strong organizational and planning skills.

Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.

Thorough understanding of manufacturing and industry practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project activities.

Superior communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) essential.

Experience in environments that comply with ISO‑9001.

Proficiency in computer systems and ability to quickly learn estimating and project management software.

Experience with MS Project, Excel, Google Docs, and Blue Beam preferred.

Capable of managing multiple projects.

5–7 years of related experience.

This full‑time Project Manager position receives a competitive salary commensurate with experience and position responsibilities.
