What to Expect We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Global Supply Chain Manager to support the sourcing of Indirect categories. This may include Consulting, Financial, Marketing, Service Centers, Delivery Centers, Uniforms, Security, Environmental and Safety services as well as employee benefits across all North America Business Units (Motors, Energy, Solar and Service). This person will be a member of our Supply Chain Organization supporting the development, implementation, and management of strategies to provide Tesla with optimal supply assurance, pricing, and delivery performance.

Tesla is a fast moving, dynamic environment where flexibility and adaptability are key attributes needed for success. The candidate will be a self-starter; eager to learn about Tesla's Procurement Organization.

What You’ll Do

Develop sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives to ensure optimal outcomes

Analyze current spend, purchasing trends, and evaluate existing suppliers while identifying new high-potential alternatives

Own RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes, ensuring all commercial terms are agreed upon and documented

Evaluate supplier proposals, drive price negotiations, and recommend selections that achieve cost savings, avoidance, or containment, including supplier consolidation opportunities

Negotiate long-term strategic contracts, develop key performance measures, and drive continual cost reduction initiatives through ad hoc negotiations and multi-variable discussions

Ensure appropriate positioning of NDAs, SOWs, and Master Purchase Agreements before initiating business, while monitoring market conditions, technology roadmaps, and supply/demand challenges

Manage supplier relationships, performance, dispute resolution, and core competencies using industry cost models; collaborate with business units to develop, implement, and improve programs

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience

3-5 years of related work experience in Procurement or Consulting (preferable)

A knack for strategic thinking and contract negotiations

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment

Ability to make quick decisions with 80% information

Willingness to operate in a dynamic environment with changes in scope

Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel
