The Anselmo Academy of Music and the Arts, a non‑profit organization, is seeking a fun, engaging Piano Instructor to join our team! We’re looking for someone who inspires students by balancing solid technique and theory with the songs they love to play. This is an in‑person teaching opportunity for students throughout Manhattan – Saturday mornings and Friday afternoons are especially needed, but other weekday availability is also welcome.

Responsibilities

Teach private and/or group piano lessons to primarily beginner students.

Create dynamic, age‑appropriate lessons that blend fundamentals, creativity, and student interests.

Foster a supportive, positive, and inclusive learning environment that builds confidence and a lifelong love of music.

Use curriculum resources, but bring your own teaching style and ideas.

Seek additional teaching assignments across our programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Piano or a related field (required).

At least 3 years of teaching experience (preferred).

Availability on weekdays and/or Saturdays (Saturday availability is a big plus).

Ability to teach group classes (a plus but not required).

Based in or near New York City, with ability to travel to Manhattan (Bronx availability also helpful).

Warm, patient, and energetic personality with excellent communication skills.
